What CraftWyre collects, why, and who processes it — described against how the site actually works.
LAST UPDATED — 2 AUGUST 2026
What this covers
This policy describes what CraftWyre collects when you use craftwyre.com, its subdomains, the assistant on this site, and the CraftWyre assistant on WhatsApp or Telegram.
CraftWyre is an independent software company founded and operated by Muhammad Talal Mohsin. Enquiries about this policy go to the address at the end of this page.
Information you give us
The contact and consultation forms ask for your name, email address, and a description of the problem you want help with, and optionally your company, job title, service interest, budget range, and timeline. Submitting the form requires you to confirm you consent to us storing it.
We keep this so that we can reply to you and understand the work you are asking about. It is stored in a PostgreSQL database and is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
Messages to the assistant
When you message the assistant — on this website, on WhatsApp, or on Telegram — the text of your message is sent to a language model provider to generate an answer, together with a briefing describing CraftWyre's own services. The conversation on this website is held in your browser for the length of your visit and is not written to our database.
On WhatsApp and Telegram, the messaging platform holds the conversation under its own terms, and we receive the message content and the platform identifier needed to reply. We do not store those messages in our database.
Do not send confidential documents or personal data belonging to other people through the assistant. It is a public enquiry tool, not a secure channel.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs, including IP address, user agent, and the pages requested, for delivery and abuse prevention. The assistant applies a short-lived rate limit keyed to your IP address, held in memory and not written to disk.
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie for authenticated administrators on /admin, and it is only issued after a successful sign-in.
Who processes data on our behalf
CraftWyre uses a small number of providers to run the site. Each processes only what the function requires:
- Netlify — website hosting, serverless functions, and server logs
- Neon — the PostgreSQL database holding contact and consultation submissions, hosted in AWS US East
- Groq — language model inference for the assistant's replies
- Meta Platforms — the WhatsApp Business Platform, where WhatsApp conversations are hosted
- Telegram — where Telegram conversations are hosted, if you contact us there
- Cloudflare — domain registration, DNS, and email routing for addresses on craftwyre.com
International transfers
CraftWyre operates from Pakistan, and the providers above process data in the United States and other countries. Contacting us means your information is handled outside your own country. If that matters for your organisation, raise it before sending anything, and we will discuss what a suitable arrangement looks like.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may still act on them, and deleted on request. We do not currently operate a fixed automated deletion schedule; we would rather state that plainly than publish a retention period we do not enforce.
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under their own retention policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will confirm what we have done. There is no account to close and no marketing list to leave — CraftWyre does not send marketing email.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Administrator access requires a password stored only as a bcrypt hash, and administrative actions are recorded in an audit log.
CraftWyre holds no external security certification and has not completed a third-party audit. We describe the controls we operate and do not claim more than that.
Children
This site is intended for business enquiries and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes to what we collect or who processes it will be described here rather than made quietly.
